Book Review: Brownstein's Special Education Makes Him A Special Doctor Summary: 4 Stars
I was pleasantly surprised to discover in "Overcoming Thyroid Disorders," Dr. Brownstein's book for professional and non-professional alike, many references to Dr. Broda Barnes' findings and his book.
Broda Barnes, MD, author of the marvelous work, "Hypothyroidism, The Unsuspected Illness," successfully specialized in thyroid disorders for 40 years. His book has been a priceless source of vital education for me for more than 30 years. Sadly, medics I have spoken to about him were unaware of Dr. Barnes' many decades of specialized practice, valuable research, and his very enlightening and comprehensive book that may help their patients if the doctors availed themselves of this knowledge.
As a very bright student of one of the leading authorities on the thyroid, Dr. Brownstein has become particularly qualified to help many even as Dr. Barnes' effective research and book continue to do. What a great service to Dr. Brownstein's patients and readers!
From the Latin "doctore," the English word "doctor" means to teach. May this book and instrument of educating go round the world to help relieve a condition that effects every cell and system in the body, bringing restoration and wellness to a new level for countless ones.

Book Review: Good Information- Finally someone listens to thyroid patients! Summary: 4 Stars
Very clear and consise information. For those in the medical field or really well knowledged about thyroid disorders, it may be a bit too simplistic but it was written for the nonmedical person so it is understandable. I found his theroies and suggestions very well thought out and finally offering an insight into the thyroid.
As a person who believes and follows naturopathic medicine I found his ideas on Armour Thyroid and Nature-Throid very helpful and gives the person with thyroid issues another tool to use in a constant battle against your body.
Thank you Dr Brownstein for your insights and research!
