I wondered about this book at the outset because the first few chapters depressed me. But the author really pulls you in with characters that are interesting in and of themselves and moreso because of the realtionships between them. Her themes resonate with females generally, but she's also a beautiful, witty writer. The end of the book especially is riveting! This would be a great summer read.Book Review: Simply wonderful
