Book Reviews of Ouija: The Most Dangerous Game

Book Review: Frightening, informative, and so very true.
Summary: 5 Stars

The book echoed some of the innermost thoughts and feelings that I had while using the Ouija. It scared me, but also made me think twice about what using the board means, and the responsibility that comes along with it.

Book Review: Various Views of the Ouija Board
Summary: 5 Stars

I find this book fascinating. Truly anyone curious about the Ouija board will like this book.

I am going to read this book from beginning to end again.

Book Review: Well Researched
Summary: 4 Stars

The ouija board (the name derived from the French and German words for "yes") has been a topic of discussion for years. Is it satanic or just psychologically harmful? Stoker Hunt from an unbiased approach indirectly shows that it is both. In other words, Christians and non-Christians alike should realize that the ouija board can negatively affect them. Even atheistic doctors are warning people of ouija board use.

From a Christian point of view I believe ouija board use is much more serious than creating paranoia and psychological trauma. Despite what many people including Christians say, there are no such thing as ghosts. The Bible says that the dead do not return to their house, and that when a person dies their thoughts perish and they know not anything. Any one who uses the ouija board for spiritual purposes is directly contacting demons, not the soul of a dead relative.

Stoker Hunt does a good job of covering both sides of the ouija board (from a strictly scientific approach and a spiritual approach), doing many interviews and comes to some serious conclusions: use of the ouija board is not just a harmless game.

Book Review: A classic standard
Summary: 4 Stars

This book is well regarded in the Ouija field. You hear it mentioned time and time again.I found the first half exciting and I lost myself in it. The stories recounted in here about peoples experiences with Ouija are fascinating. The second half was more technical, but still informative.
Mr. Hunt did present a balanced view. He interviewed experts both pro and con. He presented both good and bad experiences.
He also included a section at the end about how to start using the Ouija if you are interested.
If you want to start researching Ouija, start here.I think the reason this book does remain such a classic in the field is that its is very well researched and extremely balanced. It has no agenda except fully presenting both sides and letting people decide for themselves on the information presented

Book Review: The Title is Enough
Summary: 4 Stars

No, I haven't read it! But I'm betting that as dangerous games go, Ouija is trumped by Russian roulette and drunken dirt bikers going head-to-head at chicken.

This gives me an idea for a book: "Chewing gum: The Most Dangerous Habit." (After all, it is possible to choke on the stuff.)

Four stars because people who find books about parlor games scary and life changing should be all means spend more of their money on more of the same!
