Book Reviews of One Tree Hill: #1 The Beginning

Book Review: a good read
Summary: 4 Stars

I love watching One Tree Hill, and this book really added a lot to what we know about the characters. It's fun reading about what they do in the summer when they're not in school, and also how all of them acted towards each other before Lucas joined the basketball team. The book is pretty funny, too. The best part of reading book like this where you know all the characters is that there are details about them that you can't get from the show. I like knowing more about the music that Peyton listens to, and about Lucas's friends at the River Court and other things like that. If you like the show, you should definitely read this. I heard the next one is going to be about the second season, I can't wait for it to come out.

Book Review: My review
Summary: 4 Stars

I enjoyed reading this book. It was very differnt than the show, though the only thing similar was the face off of the boys. My fave character is Peyton and I enjoy watching CMM play basketball.
I was glad that I bought this book and enjoyed it very much. I cannot wait until 'Season 1: OTH' comes out on dvd. I hope my review was helplful to you.

Book Review: Very Interesting
Summary: 4 Stars

This was an excellent inside to what goes on behind the camera so to say. very good story line and easy read.

Book Review: OTH Beginning Review
Summary: 3 Stars

If you watch the TV show, this book is nothing new. There isn't really any added information that enhances the storyline. It is an easy read, but only a narrative form of the hit TV show.

Book Review: one tree hill
Summary: 2 Stars

As a hugh fan of the show I looked forward to picking up this book. However after reading the fisrt couple of pages it became clear that the book was tageting people in their early teens. The writing is simple with little complexity or discriptiveness which left me feeling like I was reading some almost average fan fiction that I could pull off the net for free. In addition to simplicity of the writing the editing of the book is horrible. Both the author and editor failed to pick up the fact that they were placing the wrong names on charcaters in a least two spots in the book. In addtion to that the author also seemed to forget what she had the characters doing stating that one character hadn't been to a particular location in the middle of the book when in the begining of the book that same character had actaully been there. It makes for frustrating reading. Why should a reader care about the direction of the story when the author and editiors didn't care enough to pay attention to what was written.
That's the bad stuff and if you look beyond that you get a book based on the lives just prior to and during the first few episodes of One Tree Hill. There is no real plot just a basic story that only details brief history of the main characters Lucus, Haley, Brooke, Peyton, Nathan, Dan, Keith, and Karen. In addition Skills gets good mention, along with brief appearacnes by Mouth, Edwards, Fergie, Tim and (questionable take on the character)Jake.
It's a quick and easy read not requiring a great deal of thought and taking just that into consideration then it was a good read. The story moved along qucikly and didn't stall out at any points. for the most part the book was true to the characters that we have come to know in almost a season and a half of viewing.
If you're a hugh fan of the show then buy the book. However if you're interested in reading a really well written book then leeave this one there and wait until the next one comes out and hope both the author and editors care a little more about the product and the fans.
