Lee Child is an amazing story-teller of mystery-thrillers that draws in the reader and will not allow you to put them down once you open the covers. Jack Reacher (the main character)is unique. The details and speed in which the plot develops haunts you even when you have finished and put it down. ONE SHOT is true to Child's form. He takes an event that is all too common and devestating for a city today and weaves it into a plot with characters you seem to recognize in your own life. It's an excellent read.
