He describes a very powerful and ancient spiritual practice with simplicity and beauty. It's almost as if, when reading the book, I became more "silent" inside. His words invoke silence, his thoughts stir the memories of silence, and he gives the methods to achieve silence with such grace that it's easy to imagine that this could become a lifelong practice.
