Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical CATS was based on this. Well, at least all the species of cats were in it. I don't know about the rest. Also: *GROWLTIGER'S LAST STAND was written to parody Puccini and to replace THE BALLAD OF BILLY McGRAW in CATS.Book Review: Great Book

This really is T.S. Eliot at his best. And it's written for children! While I'd never take a four-year-old to watch the musical, I'd most definitely read this to one. It's engaging and brilliantly written.
