Odd Thomas is a different kind of hero. He is a gentle soul, content with his career as a short-order cook, and he can see the dead. Unusually for Dean Koontz, this book is the start of a series, with three novels published so far, and at least one more to come. The first is clearly the best, as far as I am concerned. Odd Thomas the character has a quirky appeal, which makes him difficult not to love, and Odd Thomas the novel has just the right blend of thrills and whimsical humour to make it an instant classic.Book Review: Absolutely Amazing

I am a huge fan of Dean Koontz, so I knew I wouldn't be let down. I was amazed at how the story captivated the reader and the ending was wonderful.
Odd Thomas is an eccentric sort of guy, but the author does a good job at not making Odd seem like he is better than others or superior in any way.
I don't usually go into details of the book because I'm always worried I might give too much away! If you want a good read that stays imprinted on your mind, this is it!

Ok, first how'd you like my title review? I just wanted to do something different, yet honest, to get your attention.
As for giving a full review, after 441 other reviews, I think I'll pass on that. This book is GREAT...period. Each chapters end had me wanting to start the next chapter. THAT my friends is what a writer, in MY opinion, is supposed to do.
So buy it and get started. Have Fun

I recieved the 2nd two Odd Thomas books from a friend, and therefore, I actually read this one last. It was great! Dean Koontz has a knack for inserting a little black humor into his works that I find almost as engaging as his characters. I have not read one book of his that I have not liked, and this one is definitely no exception. I hope that Odd has a long "life" in the writings of Mr. Koontz.Book Review: Odd Thomas

When I started this book I really wasn't a Dean Koontz fan but I had heard in a book store about the Odd Thomas Series and so I just HAD to have it. Am I ever glad I did! It is a touching, heart warming book, not the terror I expected! Thankfully I have all the Odd Thomas books! And I recommened this book to everyone who loves a good hero even is his name is Odd Thomas!!!
