I've read several books by Koontz now and this is the worst. It takes so long for him to get to the point that everything is anticlimatic. I don't need to know the background of every minor, passing character. I don't care about all the sappy, stupid, overly cute banter of the characters - it just goes on and on and on.........
This book could have been 1/2 the length and been better for it.
The Frankenstein series is great, but this - PULEEZ! I also read Relentless and it's about as bad - only with even more "cute" whimsical banter that makes me want to vomit.
I read this book in 2 days - the first day I put up with it, the second I skimmed as fast as I could to the end. It's an interesting premise, but riuned by all the detail and irrelevant non-action.
