Book Review: A great book from a great man

I got a chance to get this book as well as the first one , 'still me' and i read both books from cover to cover. They made me laugh, cry, and took mental notes for my own life. Especially Nothing is Impossible. This book had me taking a look at my own life and at my life as a mother of a disabled child. I grew up from a toddler to an adult on Mr.Reeve's work. Cinema and Theater and took so much from that to apply in life and now with this wonderful book he wrote before his untimely death, I will take so much of it and apply it as well. I constantly think of certain passages and chapters when a situation arises in my day to day existence. I wish I got a chance to read both books when he was still alive, so I could write him and tell him thank you being a superman in real life as he was in his movies. And thank you for writing two wonderful books in which he shared his personal thoughts and memories and experiences with the world. I know he and his wife are so proud of the fact that Christopher and Dana Reeve act was passed and will help those who still are able to benefit from it. Again a great book, that I can read over and over. I recommend Nothing is Impossible as well as Still Me.

Christopher Reeve has mastered the art of turning the impossible into the inevitable. In these candid reflections, Reeve shows that we are all capable of overcoming seemingly insurmountable hardships. He teaches us that for able-bodied people, paralysis is a choice?a choice to live with self-doubt and a fear of taking risks?and that it is not an acceptable one. Reeve knows from experience that the work of conquering inner space is hard and that it requires some suffering?after all, nothing worth having is easy to attain. He asks challenging questions about why it seems so difficult?if not impossible?for us to work together as a society. Nothing Is Impossible reminds us that life is not to be taken for granted but to be lived fully with zeal, curiosity, and gratitude.A sequel of sorts to Reeve's bestselling memoir, Still Me, Nothing is Impossible is a concise, meditative companion to the earlier book.
