New Moon Book Review
Bella and Edwards conflict over whether Bella becomes a vampire is a driving force in the New Moon Book. Bella wants to become a vampire before she gets too old. Edward doesn't want her to become a vampire because he fears she will lose her soul. When Jasper tries to attack Bella at her birthday party after she cuts herself and he smells the blood; Edward decides to leave to avoid Bella being killed or worse becoming a vampire. At the end of the book the Volturi decree that she must become a vampire or they would destroy Edwards' entire family. This took the decision from both of them solving the conflict, but creating another conflict of when she would become a vampire.
After Edward and his family leave Forks, Bella turns to her best friend Jacob. They become very close while working on motorcycles together, well Bella watches while Jacob works on them. Bella discovers that if she puts herself in danger, she hears Edward inside her head telling her to stop and be careful. She thinks this is the only way to stay close to Edward, so she starts doing reckless things to keep hearing him.
When Jacob suddenly stops hanging around with her and won't answer any of her calls she feels desperate and isolated. She finally gets to Jacob and discovers his secret, he has become a werewolf. Bella learns that whenever there are vampires near by, the boys in the Quileute tribe become werewolves.
While Jacob is off with the other werewolves protecting the reservation, Bella decides to try cliff diving. Alice, Edwards's sister can see the future and saw Bella jump from the cliff. She thought Bella was jumping to her death and Edward can read minds. He calls Bella's house and Jacob tells him he is preparing for a funeral, causing Edward to think Bella is dead. He is devastated by Bella's supposed death and heads to Italy to let the Volturi kill him. Alice comes back to Forks and finds Bella alive, she gets Bella and they head to Italy to save Edward.
They save Edward, but the Volturi are pretty upset because Edward almost exposed all vampires to the public. They agree to release Edward, Bella, and Alice as long as Edward agrees to turn Bella into a vampire because she knows too much.
Jacob is like Tobias in A Land Remembered, everything they do seems to blow up in their faces. The difference is Tobias gets up and moves on, but Jacob becomes a bitter person who hurts people. Jacob and Tobias would not get along or be much help to one another because they look at life differently. Tobias is a happy and optimistic person while Jacob is a pessimistic moody person.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading whether they are male or female, it has something for everyone. It is a love story, a book about growing up and accepting responsibilities, and a book about friendship. It has amazing plot twists for avid readers, and there are three more books in the series for you to read.
