I was hesitant to purchase based on several of the negative reviews, but I'm glad I bought it. The quality very good and have no problem hearing it no matter what I play it on - computer, car, portable CD player. Pretty much the reviews previous to mine I agree with. Sometimes the volume level of the CDs are a little low and hard to hear. The narrarator takes a while to get used too because it is VERY dry reading. Although once you become accustomed to his voice it is like hearing your grandfather speak. I really enjoy the introductions to each book though because of the historical significance. Very enjoyable.
