Book Review: Beautiful, creative toy

This is a wonderful toy for many reasons. Aesthetically, the blocks are beautiful and detailed. Each block has a different room from a castle inside (bedroom, hearth, dining room, etc.), and castle appearance on the outside of the block. You can do so many things with these blocks and they grow well with a child. I gave them to both of my 18 month old nephews. At this age, they love to stack them and knock them down. However, when my four and six year old go over to their cousin's homes they go straight for these. They love to create the castle and play with it as if it were a dollhouse. My son uses his Playmobil knights in it and my girl uses the princesses. His cannon can also knock down the castle which he thoroughly enjoys. Plus, you can stack them side by side or even place the different blocks seperately around the room. Truly a well thought out toy.
