Book Review: A BEAUTIFUL MOVING STORY

I read this book lastyear in the Hardcover edition and I cried. It is such a moving, loving, tragic, and heartwarming story full of love that a young widow had for her husband and skating partner and the child Daria that they had together. It told of their skating years, marriage, how they met, and came to america along with the tragic death of her young husband Sergei. I couldn't put this book down. A great story that you will love. After such a sad event I feound it very hard to read this book without constantly having tissues by my side. It would have to be one of the best love stories ever written - and it is easy to tell that Ekaterina had a lot to do with the writing of this book with all it's little innuendos. For her I think it was a way of being able to tell the world what a truely wonderful man Sergei really was.Book Review: WOW....

What a tender relationship - it was the kind of relationship that we read about in a fairy tales... the kind we dream to come true but, unfortunetely, might happen once in a lifetime if you are lucky. The only thing missing was the "happily ever after" part. You know, here in the real world it just don't last. But what a touching story. I love ice skating, and I had seen Ekaterina and Sergie skate before he died. When my husband gave me the book and I read it, my heart melted. Ekaterina did such a remarkable job telling their life stories. It was so heart warming and full of compassion. She did an excellent job writing a story that I know was very hard for her to write.
