Book Review: Funniest book since "A Confederacy of Dunces"

It's 1:00 AM and I just finished the book. Couldn't put it down. Flat-out hilariously wicked satire and break-neck farce, with just about the funniest, spot-on dialogue I've ever read. Some here have objected to the sex scene but, since it's the culmination of the narrator's desires, it's appropriate and dramatically satisfying -- and contributes more than its own share of laughs. I will never look at an Oscar statuette in the same way again.
(I suspect that those who find the scene objectionable probably do so simply because it is a gay sex scene; these are, perhaps, the same people who don't object to gay characters in movies and television as long as they don't actually touch each other. Besides Keenan gives the reader fair warning that the sex scene is coming and even suggests skipping it if your sensibilities are too delicate.)
The funniest book I've read since "A Confederacy of Dunces." I look forward to reading the first two novels (and rereading this one), and any others Keenan has in store for us. The best time I've had with a book in ages, Joe! Thank you.
