Book Reviews of My First Book Of Tracing (Kumon Workbooks)Book Review: childcare Summary: 5 Stars
children ages 2-3 years old love these books, gives them a real sense of doing homework like the big kids
Book Review: great for fine motor Summary: 4 Stars
I also purchased this book for my 3 year old son. Although his favorite book is the cutting and pasting book, this one gets a pencil in his hand and helps him start making lines and swirls as if to form letters. I use page protectors and dry erase pens over each page, so he can erase and try again as many times as he likes without marking the book up. I'm really happy with how Kumon identifies the need to develop fine motor skills in order to teach printing. This book begins with small exercises that all work together so that by the time they are making "letters" kids use proper technique and have confidence in their abilities.
Book Review: Great for pre-writing! Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this workbook for my 4-year old boy with special needs. Now, we practice tracing with his index finger. Next, we'll move up to tracing with a small colored pencil. The only issue that I have with the workbook is that some pages have too many pictures on a page.
Book Review: Okay Summary: 3 Stars
My son is 4 years old and I purchased this book to help him with his handwritting. I think that this is a very good book for training, but he was really bored with is after a while, he was doing like ten pages at a time and looking at me like "Mom...why are you giving me this"! LOL I think it's more for the 2 or 3 years olds.
Book Review: it's OK Summary: 3 Stars
I thought it would be actual tracing, but it was basically just drawing a line from point A to point B, kind of like a maze that's super-easy. My daughter is turning 4 in a month and is not excited about the book. It was fun for a night, but now it just sits there.
