Book Reviews of Murder Machine (Onyx)Book Review: True story of grisly murders in Brooklyn Summary: 5 Stars
This book was a breezer. I read through this book in less than 2 weeks. It really sucks you in and makes you read more. The story and plots are real and that makes the book a lot better. The true story and the graphic way they explain the grisly murders catches your attention and makes you cringe. Just the way they killed people, it didn' t even bother them or make them feel sorry about what they had done. Truly, a great book for a mafia buff.
Book Review: Albert DeMao's Crew Was Ruthless....Great Read! Summary: 5 Stars
After reading some of the great true-crime Italian Mafia books: Underboss, Donnie Brasco, Wiseguy. Murder Machine jump started my interest in the bloody trail that organized crime creates. If you enjoy mafia characters combined with descriptive bloody-horror scenes, this is book is for you. I would also suggest reading Iceman: Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer or The Black Hand: The Story of an La Eme Contract Killer. Scary stuff.
Book Review: Bar none--the most facinating book ever written on the mob! Summary: 5 Stars
I have an extensive library of mob books and some first-hand dealings with the mob, so I think I am qualified to give my opinion that this book will leave a lasting impression on you like no other book of its kind. It dominated my thoughts and dreams during the time I was reading it. My only criticism would be that they should have developed the most interesting characters (Testa and Senter) more. They deserve their own book!
Book Review: UNBELIEVABLE! THIS BOOKS TELLS ALL AT THE GAMBINO HEIGHT! Summary: 5 Stars
This tells you just at what links the Mafia will got to retain power. It shows the trail from Castellano's mansion to Demeo's vicious lifestyle on the streets of Brooklyn's toughest neighborhood (Carnarsie). Fed say close to 200 murders and most were never found. They actually had proof of a about sixty! There will probably never be another killer like DeMeo and his Gemini Twins. Sammy The Bull cant top his notches of blood.
Book Review: A Mafia classic! Summary: 5 Stars
This is the story of capo Roy DeMeo and his murderous Brooklyn crew. DeMeo, a butcher by trade, was an old-school Mafioso with a talent for making people disappear. Rumor has it that even the mighty John Gotti feared him. MURDER MACHINE was written almost 20 years ago, but it still grabs you by the seat of the pants. It's like watching your favorite Scorsese movie--except this is all true. Highly recommended.
