Book Reviews of Murder Machine (Onyx)

Book Review: There's More To This Story.....
Summary: 5 Stars

Anyone who lives in Brooklyn (as I do) would tell you that you can't leave your car at a hydrant for 10 minutes without getting a ticket. So how did this crew run a human-butcher shop in a crowded borough for 10 years without detection, dumping corpses & body parts all over town? As bad (but fascinating) as this story is, I do believe that the whole story must be a lot worse, ie, lots more corrupt police & political involvement than what was detailed in the book. Some outwardly-respectable people walked on this one - they only got the street thugs, in my opinion. That crew had major protection from somewhere, I'm convinced of that.

Book Review: MORE FRIGHTENING THAN THE EXORCIST!!!!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Murder Inc., The Westies, Bath Avenue Crew, The Purple Gang, Mad Sam DeStefano in Chicago, Nicky Scarfo, Vito Genovese, and of course Carmine Galante and his crew. All were extremely scary groups of people, but they don't hold a light to the Gemini crew. Roy Demeo was insane. After reading this book I don't think I'll look at organized crime the same. A lot of innocent people got in the way of these guys and paid for it with their lives. The whole time I was reading this book I kept thinking I was in a nightmare but I could not put it down. THIS IS THE BEST MOB But not for the weak.

Book Review: True story of grisly murder
Summary: 5 Stars

This book definetly sent a chill up my spine. It's the true story of Roy DeMeo and his crew of lethel and violent hitmen. They went out on contract killings all across America, from the mean streets of New York to the sunny coast of Florida. The novel's fascinating stories make you crave to read on. It was a real breezer for me. Read it in less than two weeks. The plot and storyline are all true which makes the book at times almost unbelievable. The book is based on Dominac Montiglio, a boy who turns into a man growing up around the Mafia. He tells the story of the DeMeo gang, or nicknamed, the Murder Machine

Book Review: Dominick tells it like it was...
Summary: 5 Stars

I just have to say that I did not read this book until after I had gotten to know Dominick Montiglio as a friend and artist. It amazed me that I could like and respect so much a man who was a thug and murderer. It was truly a case of nuture over nature. While the focus of the book is the De Meo crew, it is Dom's honesty that really made this a great read for me. He makes no excuses or apologies for the life he lived - yet it is his past and to know him is to really like the guy! BTW, I bought this at Amazon.com from an Awesome Deal I found on DailyTool.com.

Book Review: HANDS DOWN BEST MOB BOOK 5 Stars

This is a very huge book. I read it in like 3 days because it is so engrossing and enthralling and it is just plain CRAZY!! Roy DeMeo is one psychotic man....or should say WAS since they found him in a trunk of a car riddled with bullet holes with a chandelier on top! GREAT BOOK! DONT PASS IT UP! Higly recommended to anyone who digs mob books or movies! The part about the DeMeo crew ordering a pizza while dismembering bodies they hang upside down in the shower is enough to grab your attention but this entire book is very interesting! Great book title too!
