Book Reviews of Murder Is Binding

Book Review: A new bookstore sleuth!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Just finished Murder is Binding. Absolutely loved it. It was a fun read and felt like a mini-vacation to this little hamlet. It was full of characters that I cannot wait to visit again. Mysteries are my favorite topic to read and I read alot. I am a fan of Grafton, Dunning, some Nora Roberts, Kathy Reichs, Baldacci, Robb, Wittig Albert, and Sue Henry just to name a few. I like to follow an author from the beginning when it applies to a series. I find that many times authors evolve and I find I do not like the new path they take me down. I feel assured that Ms. Barrett will stay true to her genre and look forward to the next trip she invites me to take.

Book Review: Book them!
Summary: 5 Stars

Have read all four of Lorna's Booktown series. Love Tricia, and Miss Marple, and Stoneham too. Mystery, good food, a cat, and books. What is not to like? The characters are charming, the town even more so. Now could we get Tricia a nice green-eyed beau that is trust-worthy and able to love her into purring for real?

Seriously, I am smitten. I read Bookplate Special first. But this book, Murder is Binding was also a winner. I was kept guessing for long enough, that I was rooting for Tricia to solve the mystery faster, but it was a wait worth it.

5*'s for sure!

Book Review: A town of bookstores? By all means, count me in!
Summary: 5 Stars

Murder is Binding has everything that a book-loving-mystery-reader would want. The writing is snappy, the characters are loveable, the setting is absolutely awesome, there's a cat named Miss Marple.... Oh, don't get me started. I stumbled upon this book, loved it, and was totally delighted to find that it is the first of a series. Well, I don't know how I've missed out on this for so long. I'm about to take up residence (in my dreams, anyway) in Stoneham, where books and mysteries rule!

Get your biggest coffee mug, pull the afghan up to your chin and start reading.

Book Review: Best Book I've read In A Longtime
Summary: 5 Stars

This book has everything. Great setting, great characters, well engineered plot...you name it, this book has it all. This is the first book in the series which often times isn't anything more than laying the ground work for a potentially good series. Well if the debut book is THIS good, what do we have in store with future books in the series?
If you've been waiting for a fresh new cozy mystery series you can sink your teeth into then your wait it over. I highly recommend this book in case you couldn't tell.

Book Review: Great series!
Summary: 5 Stars

Lorna Barrett creates a wonderful cast of characters in a cozy place most readers would like to visit, a comfortable mystery bookstore. Murder Is Binding, Barrett's first book in the series, makes us care about Tricia Miles and her sister, who's her opposite, and the people who inhabit Tricia's store. The mystery keeps us guessing and caring. I can't wait for Barrett's next book in the series.
