Book Reviews of the MotorworldCustomer Review: Jeremy analyses the rich comedy of humanity Summary: 4 Stars
Jeremy Clarkson is a funny, down-to-earth, happy go lucky type of guy. He seems to always get into very unusual situations and makes the best of it while never losing his spirit of adventure. He says what he thinks and does not gloss over his observations of other cultures or peoples be it politically correct or not. With this in mind, some people will take this book as being short-sighted and maybe even racist, but to me he tells the true, unabridged story of his interactions with over ten different countries throughout the world from his perspective (this is key.) I enjoyed his stories of India's crazy driving (164 deaths a day on their roads!), Detriot's dangerous but still beating inner city car culture, Monte Carlo's endless supply of coin yet insatiable desire for attention, and many more sprinkled with trademark Clarkson humor.
People who get offended by the idea of people of different areas being... different, then don't look here, you will be offended, but to people that enjoy the wide variety of cultures and celebrate the diversity of peoples from all around the world, sit back and enjoy an entertaining read from Britain's current best car journalist/entertainer.
