Book Review: Perfect!

I have bought so many books from Moleskine and I love them all. This is not an exception. What amazes me is the size because my instructor recommended us to buy a specific sketchbook in store before and I did buy that sketchbook. But then I went home and realized that, "Why don't I just buy a sketchbook from Moleskine instead?" Immediately I bought the Moleskine sketchbook right in that day and returned the old one on the following day. The Moleskine sketchbook came today and it is as perfect as I want.
Comparing to the other one (which is also from a good branch):
- It is not too thick. I can easily put it in my bag everyday with a bunch of other books and notebooks.
- The size is perfect. The other book is a bit larger in size, which disappointed me because somehow I don't need it too small but also not that big. So when I see the sketchbook from Moleskine, I can see the huge difference from their sizes. Moleskine just changes its size a bit from other and totally take my heart.
- I also have to remind you that Moleskine does have the most beautiful design than any other notebooks I have known so far. I just love the simplicity, the nicely curve corners of it! It also has little pocket to put pieces.
- Last but not least, Amazon makes it much much cheaper and of course, I love it!
Book Review: I am just so happy with it

Last year, I bought a Large Moleskin lined journal book from Franklin Covey store. I used it on my trip to the Far East and loved using it to journal and keep important things on its back side pocket. This year, on my return trip, I went to WalMart and bought one that looked like Moleskin, but proved there's only one Moleskin.
Well, wanting to get the lined journal again for next year, I stumbled upon this Sketchbook. In fact, I bought both of them so that I could see what is so great about this one. I must say, I am incredibly impressed with it. The cover is solid and the thick yellowish paper is incredible to write on. I use it for my random thoughts -- titling them with color pencil and writing with ink -- I love the freedom to write however small or large, draw whenever I want to, box important thoughts and color freely. I love it that the paper is thick and w/o lines. I am thinking of getting another one for my trip to the Far East next year and wrap the lined one for a Christmas gift.
My wife took a look at my Moleskin sketchbook and what I was doing with it, and now she wants one! It's really great if you jot down thoughts -- I keep it with me wherever I go.
Book Review: THE Sketchbook Preferred Worldwide

As a designer, needless to say I sketch a lot. Inspiration is found everywhere around me and this sized Moleskine notebook is incredible to carry around.
How so? It's lightweight, the cover is great, the band to keep it closed is a lifesaver for keeping my pages clean & flat, the stock is wonderful for sketching in, and I use the folder inside on the back page to keep plane tickets, foreign currencies, and whatever else I find inspiring. A very famous designer first introduced me to these notebooks and told me he used nothing else. I bought my first one 3 years ago and never looked back.
Also, if you are traveling and are seeking a travel journal- the Moleskin travel journals are incredible. They have maps, locations, linguistics, sketch pages, lined pages, a folder and more... Moleskine City Notebook Paris (Moleskine City Pocket Book)
These notebooks were the legendary notebook used for the past two centuries by great artists and thinkers, including Van Gogh, Picasso, Hemingway and Chatwin... and hopefully by you soon. You won't regret it.
Book Review: The True Moleskine Sketchbook

I went into a University bookstore recently expecting to find this easily. However, Moleskine has expanded their line of offerings so much that the bookstore had near everything Moleskine makes *except* this. Most of these new offerings have very thin, or very ruled, paper. The college students won't know what they're missing, and that's a tragedy.
As others have noted, the weight of the paper in this notebook make it near indispensable for illustrators and anyone else who needs to digitally scan a pencil, pen or watercolour sketch from a go-everywhere notebook. The paper handles watercolour surprisingly well. And media from one side of the paper doesn't bleed over onto the other, even with fairly heavy tempera/gouache/watercolour applications.
I've had Moleskines of this type for years and the bindings hold up superbly. Can't recommend this particular model enough.
Book Review: Not just a sketchbook!

I've been a Moleskine user for years now but I purchase more of their planners and journals. Come year end, I was looking for a journal that could serve as a scrapbook. I'm a pack rat and I tend to keep things like movie tickets, notes.. Name it. So I needed a place to keep all of those.
I initially thought of getting the extra large notebook. But after reading reviews of how thin the paper of the notebooks were, I decide to get the sketchbook. And luckily, it was exactly what I needed! The sketchbook's pages are definitely fewer in quantity as compared to the notebook but the pages are much thicker, which I preferred. I write using sign pens, and draw using colored markers thus, I needed page thickness so that the ink wouldn't bleed on the other side. If this is what you're looking for then order the sketchbook. If not, get the notebook instead.
