In addition to being useful for residents or temporary tourists, Moleskine city books are perfect for students studying abroad. Most Moleskine notebooks have essentials like a map of the city, local info(authorities, conversions, etc) a simplistic map of the public transit system, and plenty of space to record info on your favorite restaurants/people you meet/etc. If you're studying in a city for which a Moleskine is published, it will become a constant companion.
