Book Review: To everything there is a time

Billie Phillips knew before college her passion was remodeling rundown homes; flipping is what it's called in the business buzz. But, somehow immediately after college, she found herself a much sought after runway model. Although she became a household name, for Billie, modeling was always an end to a means. Now, with her bank account intact, she is ready to quit modeling and pursue her real dream; flipping houses. She has one hook-up with her brother-in-law, who is a contractor, but she is trying to meet one of Chicago's leading real estate moguls Jason Wainwright. From him she hopes to get a good perspective on how to market the renovated property.
Jason Wainwright is the consummate player, rich, charismatic, and a gentleman, but Jason is afraid to surrender his heart, so he hides under the guise of not wanting a commitment. When he meets Billie, initially he sees her as another challenge. Billie sees him as an untapped well in real estate, and if nothing else, she has been warned he has an obsession for the ladies. Life often creates its own destinies, their business meetings create a comfortable camaraderie, and the atmosphere is soon overtaken with something stronger than business or friendship, and they are caught up in the moment.
MODEL PERFECT PASSION has all of the ingredients, two focused individuals, neither really looking for anything personal, but who get tangled in the sidebars of their emotions; family and friends who offer caution and support, and a storyline that warms the heart. I love how Schuster generates believable characters and a solid story. I did expect a little more resistance from Jason and a little more spontaneity between the hero and heroine, when their moment morphed. But I still thoroughly enjoyed where the characters took us.
