Book Review: It should be 2 books and not one!
Summary: 2 Stars
Much like it's Northern California book, this book tries to incorporate two very big places like Southern California and Hawaii into one to save money, time, and paper. Unfortunately, the book doesn't connect them together as it should be done.
Again, the maps are poor quality like in the other books and Los Angeles would need a hundred pages to cover the information only to scratch the surface. The authors don't seem to focus too much on the Hollywood or celebrity aspect or if they do, it's brief. Most tourists visit Los Angeles for the celebrities whether they catch them at the Ivy, Mr. Chow, or other fine restaurants or the hot nightclubs. Tourists also would like to find even the dearly departed at cemeteries like Marilyn Monroe and other notables.
Unfortunately, the book is disappointing because it doesn't scratch the surface of Los Angeles or San Diego. Hawaii is briefly explained as well. I would have separated the two locations away from each other in separate books to focus more on their locations rather than briefly explaining hotels, restuarants, and tourists attractions.
