Book Reviews of Miss AmericaBook Review: An entertaining read. Summary: 4 Stars
This book is almost, but not quite as good as his first book. But it's still worth reading more than once and totally recommended.
Book Review: H_S_M_A Summary: 4 Stars
the funny stuff will make a good movie but there are some boring sick anecdotes... pure stern for the fan!
Book Review: Sophmore Stern Proves He's No One Hit Wonder Summary: 3 Stars
In Stern's second farce about life on the radio, he goes further than himself and describes the on-air personalities that make up his radio show. He touches on guests, politics, his mayoral campaign, private moments and more. Compared to the first book that spawned a movie, this is just a basic sequel. It comes through in humor, but some of the character studies are boring and too long. Let's get on with the lesbians, please. Fans of Stern and fans of hating Stern should unite to enjoy this book.
Book Review: A Good Follow Up to Private Parts Summary: 3 Stars
The self-proclaimed "King of All Media," Howard Stern again shares very personal information with the reader, ranging from his opinions to his hairstyles over the years. His humor is often raunchy and juvenile--not for the squeamish. A must read for fans of his radio talk show.
Book Review: Derwood, This Isn't A Novel... Summary: 2 Stars
To the guy who keeps calling this book a novel: This is non-fiction. "Gone With the Wind" is a novel...As for the book itself, it's aimed at Stern's (mostly) semi-illiterate audience, and on that level it succeeds brilliantly. It's more like "Mad Magazine For Dummies". I have nothing against Stern and like his show. He's incredibly slick at coming up with the kind of lowest-common-denominator material that his crowd craves.
