Book Reviews of Miracle: A Celebration of New Life

Book Review: WHAT A BOOK/CD/DVD COMBO AND DON'T HAVE WORDS TO DESCRIBE IT
Summary: 5 Stars

Also don't believe the bad reviews on here.

Book Review: some almost ghoulish
Summary: 2 Stars

Some of the Geddes photos in this book are a bit extreme - almost ghoulish - with babies under stretched sheer fabric - giving a weird, almost preborn appearance to the infant. Most of the photos, though, are beautiful and creative and just what we have come to expect from this photographer. The audio CD by Celine Dion is absolute perfection.

Book Review: Not what I thought it would be
Summary: 2 Stars

Usually Geddes impressed me - but too much repetition- plus the CD included -ehhh it was included- baby didn't like it nor did I

Book Review: Really close to being the worst hing ever but kinda funny
Summary: 1 Stars

This book is the weirdest and worst thing I have ever seen. It was given to me as a present and I have returned it.

First of all it is a rip off of another photographers work who dressed babies up as flowers and posed them on stuff.

Second, why do you want a book of Celine caressing random babies? I mean who are these babies and why is she fondling them? It would be one thing if it was her child but it is not it is dozens of kids from all over the place.

Third, the pictures are aweful. In one photo celine is lying down in a greek goddess pose and there are babies in flower hats literally draped over her. It looks like an advertisement for diamonds except instead of diamonds draped over her its infants. This is the worst offender but in all the photos the babies are clearly little more the accessories to her great beauty. They scream "look at me I am fabulous SEE how I love all the babies and how glamorous I look doing it? Look at me" This book takes Celine's infamous ego to an entirely new level. It is actually impressive in that manner.

The only positive thing I can say is that my friends and I had a good laugh flipping through it before putting it back in the box to return it. If you like Celine Dion or if you can afford to waste money for 30 min of laughter buy this book I am sure you will love it otherwise take a pass.

Book Review: Baby abuse!
Summary: 1 Stars

Kind of like that old movie, Milo and Otis where we thought it was so cute with the cat chasing the dog chasing the cat off of the cliff onto a wooden cart. Until we found out it animal cruelty to the fullest degree.

Where's the difference here? These poor babies. Who are these parents that let this woman dress their newborn babies up to look like cabbage patch dolls and pose them in the most horrifying positions?

What is this world coming to? It was cute when she took her first few pictures and had one line of greeting cards but come on folks now we've added music and a celebrity holding these poor innocent newborn babies?

Where is CPS during the photo sessions? How much are these parents getting for this? Or is it just the joy of having someone as wonderful as Celine (and she is wonderful - which makes you wonder why she would do a book like this) touch their baby? Or perhaps now they can say their baby is on it's way to stardom and put this down in their resume.

Having once been a commercial agent for children I can now say this is the most awful book I've seen since that man dressed up his grey dogs in suits.
