The kids of my generation had telescopes, microscopes and chemistry sets. We only could dream of building and programming a functioning robot!

This to is the best toy in the world by alot. if you like plain legos you will like this so much more you can build any robot you can think of if you have the right peices to work with. you can build a vending machine to a spy (if you have vision command expantion pack). This toy is very fun! I spend hours on my robot,building,programing,and whaching them do their stuff. This toy is also very educational. You might ask why this is educational. In the real world,people program robots just how you do on the computer! I got this on my birthday ,and was thrilled.This toy is fun!Book Review: Couldn't be better

I love the way you can just build and build. The CD and instruction book is great. It is also very easy to program the robot. I'm not sure if it could have come with more pieces. The sensors are great, and a motor stills runs at 100% after accidentaly being put in the washing machine.Book Review: Don't buy this great set (if you can wait...)

I own this set and several follow-on sets. It is a lot of fun to build with and program. However, Lego is bringing out Mindstorms NXT in August 2006. Price should be about US$250 for a much more powerful set. I would no longer pay $200 for a set that is about to be replaced.
