Book Review: Best toy in the world!
Summary: 5 Stars
This is truly an awesome toy. I'm a sophmore in college and was somewhat interested in Robotics. When I recieved this for christmas, I opened it up, and it was everything I hoped it would be and more. With legos, the abilities of your robots stretch only as far as your imagination. The RCX code is surprisingly easy to learn and master, and for the more advanced types, there are plenty of other pieces of software available online for the RCX. I can definietely see myself playing around with these for years and years. Lego really hit the mark this time, as the set gives tons of educational value, tons of creativity, and years of entertainment.Book Review: I wish to have this set!!

I don't have this set at home yet but, I wish I can have this set for christmas. I hear it is really fun, durable, and very educantional. I heard that that the Lego Mindstorms doesn't work on Windows but, on www.legomindstorms.com there is a xp patch that will make it work on windows xp. If it doesn't work on windows xp i will do it on windows 98. I have this set on my "Christmas List" and I hope I will get it. I will also tell my teachers about Lego Mindstorms and even ask if my school can have it for an elective. All the PTA has to do is buy about five sets and have two people work together on them.Book Review: I wish to have this set!!

Stop reading - hit the buy button. This thing is sooo cool. While other kids are parked on the couch feeding from the tube or playing games that other people built, my son is on the floor building lego robot monstors and programing the robot to do what he wants. This is THE BEST computer educational tool. The programming is easy yet a fundamental way to introduce both basic computer programming and logic to young minds. My young son can make the thing sing and dance and spin and chase the dog. I also support LEGOs support of clubs that compete with robot competitions. Hot hot hot.Book Review: Works with XP

We got the RIS 2.0 system yesterday, followed the XP installation directions that were on the recorded message of the Lego tech support 24 hr line, and voila, the kids (7 and 10 years old) could run all the basic tests. Today they have been making the robots off the constructopedia and giving all kinds of instructions. Since we have only had it for two days, I cannot say anything about the durability (which is why it gets 3 stars).Only con: I wish they had some sort of physical programming manual with it (that is why it got only 4 stars on the educational value).
