Everyone should have a copy of this book. It is not only moving but it is clearly written by a very talented author and Christian young man.
Summary of Mime: A Heart of WorshipGone are the days when the theatre arts represented nothing more that a 'time out' for the Church. The Christmas play of the Easter skit were the only occasions when the writers, actors, and the costume team would get to work. Today, the arts are finding their rightful place in ministry and the 'forbidden' art of dance is now a vibrant ministry within the Church. Not only are the arts being used for ministry in the Church, but also for the key purpose of spreading the gospel to the 'uttermost parts of the world." This new and exciting book which is written by a young but experienced artiste represents a practical application of how to begin exploring and using the art of mime for the Lord. There is a freshness and newness of a very old art form which attests to the tutelage of the Holy Spirit as Derrick illustrates and teaches the art. So, don't just read this book like a text; use it as a tool to help yourself and others to unmask your hidden giftings and use these artistic gifts for the Lord.
