Book Reviews of Michael Jackson ConspiracyBook Review: The Whole Truth, and Nothing But the Truth - A Well Researched, Detailed Account Summary: 5 Stars
Being a fan of Michael's, I debated about whether I wanted to read this book. I knew it would make me sad and angry about the great injustice that was done to him. The damage was already done with his untimely death, what good would it do to know all the unpleasant details? However, as a fan, I wanted to know what he had to endure and I don't regret reading it. I think EVERYONE should read it, fan or not. I think people should know what really happened in this case so something like this can never happen again. And that what never should have been allowed to happen in this country(this trial), did. If the prosecution(namely D.A. Tom Sneddon, who I feel put Michael through living hell with both the Chandler and Arvizo accusations)had done proper research, they would have seen they didn't have a case.
After reading this book, anyone that comes away still questioning Michael Jackson's innocence is simply in denial. Ms. Jones gives a concise, unbiased presentation of what went on in the courtroom down to the last detail. It becomes clear that this case never should have gone to trial and reveals, using actual court transcripts, how greed caused both the Chandler and Arvizo families to bring down an innocent man who was only trying to help them.
I did not feel this author was in awe or "gushing" over Michael Jackson, but I felt she cared about him as a human being, giving an objective viewpoint. Originally she was part of the very media that was out to disgrace him. This made the book even more interesting being told from her perspective. How midway through, she had doubts about what the press was doing to him as it became obvious to her that he was innocent and she became one of his strongest supporters. I felt she wanted people to know the truth and how the power of the media can sway public opinion and in Michael's case, destroy a person. I commend the author for caring so much to write this account; obviously in depth research was done. Michael was also very lucky to have such a fabulous legal team lead by Tom Mesereau. This was a fascinating book that I couldn't put down. The book has several b/w photos that were used as State's exhibits in the trial, hence the poor quality of some.
Book Review: A revelation Summary: 5 Stars
I wasn't certain about reading any books about Michael Jackson unless they were written by him. It just seemed that everyone had something to gain from him by sensationalizing his life and whatever lies they chose to conjure up. But Aprhodite Jones was interesting because she intially believed that Michael Jackson was guitly of child molestation until she reviewed the case file herself to uncover the truth. It is difficult for a person to change their own personal opinion of someone and I applaud her for the courage it took to write a pro Michael Jackson book. The book goes into the allegations against Michael Jackson, it includes both the prosecution and the defense witnesses. What I find interesting is the lack of correlation in the stories of the alleged victims and so called witnesses. The alleged witnesses were disgruntled employees who initially stated that no such abuse took place and once they were fired (for criminal reasons) their stories changed. These ex employees changed their story to say they witnesses Michael abusing other children but these children now adults state that no such abuse took place in fact they had pleasant views of Mr. Jackson. Then the accusers in this case their stories never match, the time the alleged abuse took place seemed to change a little bit too often. The family has had a series of run in with lawyers and were already successful at winning civil suits without true merit. The family was able to gain money from other celebrities as well as attempting to fool others, leaving their greatest and last victim as Michael Jackson. The family goes from loving and praising Michael Jackson to claiming kidnapping and child molestation two accusations that by the end of reading this book seem rather ridiculous. I dont even know how this case made it to court it was simply a blatant attepmt for monetary gain and to acquire an undeserving luxurious life it also reminds us about how biased the media has been in there coverage of Michael Jackson. But in the end he still won, he is still the most famous entertainer that ever lived, he died doing what he loved and he passed away peacefully in his sleep without anymore pain. It is a bittersweet recognition. Read the book it is truly worth it.
Book Review: Please Read This Book Summary: 5 Stars
Ever since Michael Jackson's death, like many people, I have found an interest in reading about his life. I have always been a fan of his but I admit that it took for him to pass for me to really appreciate him and want to buy books about him. I recommend this book so much I don't even know where to start. Some people may disagree with me but even from the very beginning, I KNEW that he did not do anything to children. He was just a naive, sweet, giving person and people took advantage of that.
This book confirmed my beliefs as well as informed me on things that I wasn't quite knowledgable in. When the 2005 trial first started, I was a junior in high school and I admit, I didn't follow on it as I would have liked to. Actually, I had slightly lost interest in him because I was listening to the garbage that the media was reporting. After I saw the "baby dangling", I'm like "what is wrong with him? what is he thinking?" It was not reporting that he was showing the baby to fans. Instead, it was reported that "Wacko Jacko is randomly dangling his baby over a balcony". Then when I saw him on TV coming to court late, coming to court in pajamas, I'm like "ok, mike can't get any more bizarre".
This book has enlightened me on so much that I feel more bad for him than ever. The book talks solely on the 2005 trial and on the 1993 allegations. This book is wrote as if you too were in the court room observing it. After reading this book, I've learned that basically the media tells half the truth and reports what it wants to report. The media rather reported that "Wacko Jacko arrives in pj's" instead of "Michael Jackson needed to go to the doctor due to not feeling well. The judge demanded that he comes and therefore he arrived as is in pj's". I did not know anything about the 1993 allegations nor the 2005 allegations. I was just happy when I watched the verdict on TV and he was not guilty as expected. Please read this book if you want to know the truth about the trials. You will see that his accusers were nothing but bad, rude little brats whose families took advantage of Michael Jackson's love that he had for people, children in particular.
Book Review: Before you judge Michael Jackson, Pls read this book first Summary: 5 Stars
I am from Hong Kong, and have just finished reading this book. As I am not an English native speaker, so maybe I can not express exactly what my comments are. As you know, I am residing in Hong Kong, far away from the U.S. What information/news we got was just from the foreign newspaper being translated in Chinese, mostly were just briefly, saying Michael Jackson again was accused of child molerstration charge. All the news/information were talking bad images about MJ. Most of our Hong Kong people do think that MJ is skin-bleaching, pedophite or freak. In fact, we really do not know exactly what happened in 2003 or even 1993. Until the launching of YouTube thru the internet, I have the chance to browse all information about MJ, and start to understand this person, as why this great entertainer is always critized by media, I am trying to find the truth (maybe not exactly, but near the truth). I am still hesitated to believe MJ's innocence, but until after read this book. I believe Miss Jones's had spent much to collect all the facts and findings, and finished this book by heart. I believe MJ's defence Attorney, Mr. Tom Mesereau, whom is very respectful and a low-profile person. He gives people as a reliable person when he talks. This book reflects the things what really happened inside and outside the courts. Numbers of witnessed had been testified, from their testimony, you would somehow know whom were telling lies; or telling something with contradiction; whom to testify with advantage behind. The book reports the events without bias or prejudice. I thought the jury did the right thing. Michael Jackson was absolutely innocent in this accusation (I mean 2003). I have highly recommend people to read this.
However, I still do not understand why MJ settled the case for 1993 accusation, and why the parent of Jodie Chandler accepted money instead of starting a lawsuit as their child was molerstrated. Is money really so important? It's still an unsolved mystery. Can anyone introduce me any book about the facts of the Jodie Chandler's molerstration accusation in 1993? I really need the truth!!
Book Review: Saddest revelations ever Summary: 5 Stars
After reading this very informative and well written book, if I had had any doubts about his innocence for either of Michael's horrible cases, they would have been totally obliterated. (I was not distracted by the few typos). I had no doubts, however, of his innocence. I didn't realize how sinister our judicial system could still be played out. I watched the video of the Gavin Arvizo being questioned on the Smokinggun website before I read this book. My son and I both said, "He's lying." It was as plain as day from his body language, and his answers, for us. Someone who reviewed before me, mentioned that they cried, and got angry while reading it. So did I.
Ms. Jones, thanks for changing your attitude, and for having the desire to find out why Michael's fans believed, and love him so faithfully. This is one time the truth set someone free, but way too late for permanent recovery of a kind and generous soul. It's too bad that the DA, his prosecution cronies, along with the heartless detractor media members, can't be put on trial for their "Sweep the leg" tactics. By this, I mean that after breaking Michael's heart the first time, he was still able to stand, but was injured in his heart. To finish him off, take his stand away, they tried using the nemesis character's method of defeat that was used in the movie "Karate Kid." The cruel the nefarious 'Sweep the leg.'
My heart stays saddened, and is reminded every day by the American tragedy revealed in detail in this book. The jurors were smarter than they were given credit for as a whole. If only for the sake of Michael's memory, I wish his first accuser would tell the truth as he knows it, and not wait until his father and uncle aren't around to stop him. Also, Tom Mesereau is the best. His valor is evident, his brilliance, and team unmatched. If Johnny Cochran did anything right, the greatest thing was when he referred this case to Tom Mesereau. The book didn't waste time getting to the meat of the conspiracy, but allowed the reader to see exactly how it was set up. Aphrodite Jones, did a great work with this book. Bless her.
