Book Reviews of Michael Jackson Conspiracy

Book Review: nice book
Summary: 5 Stars

Michael jackson may have been acquitted of sexual abuse charges back in 2005, but he definetly wasn't aquitted by the public. After reading trial transcripts and using common sense, I think its pretty obvious that Mj was falsely accused during the 2005 case. First of all, Its not farfetched to believe that someone would make up molestations claims just for money. Its all been done before so don't act surprised. Sometimes I can't help but wonder how things would have been if Michael had never done that documentary.

If Martin Bashir had practiced responsible journalism from the beginning, then none of this drama would have started.. Firstly, he should never have interviewed Gavin arvizo without his parent's written permission. Secondly, his company never should have aired that footage, showing gavin's face without express, written permission. He was a minor at the time and should have had some form of consent. His mother was'nt even aware that he was in the video until it aired. This documentary destroyed this family's life. Gavin was getting teased and harassed at school, the mother was being investigated for neglect and the family was being bombarded for interviews by numerous news outlets and tabloids. Janet arvizo was angry that her son was included in the documentary without her consent and had plans to team up with michael to file a multi million dollar lawsuit against martin Bashir and BBC..When Michael decided to end his ties with the family because of all the negative publicity, that's when things started going downhill.

Azja pryor, chris tucker's ex girlfriend had testified that janet had called her in early march complaining that Michael and his bodyguards were keeping her and the kids away from neverland. Azja's testimony was important because the phone call was placed around the time frame gavin claimed Michael was molesting him. Janet was obviously upset that Michael wasn't taking care of the family like he was and felt that he should be held accountable for the hell she and her family had to endure as a result of the martin bashir documentary. The media had already labeled MJ a child molester and her son was his victim, so why not go along with it and at least get some money? That is why she went to 2 civil lawyers claiming her son was molested instead of going to the police. Janet and the kids went to Larry Feldman, the same attorney who got a settlement for jordie chandler. According to journalist Larry King, Larry Feldman told him that the mother was a "wacko" and that he felt she was only in it for the money and that he didn't believe the boy and that he refused to take the case, so instead he sent the family over to a therapist and 2 police officers. During the meeting with the cops, thats when all the lurid details emerged. Gavin told them that Michael showed him porn, masturbated him, gave him alcohol and kissed him. His brother told them that he witnessed everything and the sister said she saw Mj giving her brother's alcohol. The mother told them that Michael had kidnapped her and her children and held them against their will so they could film a rebuttal video, but the funny thing about that is, when the video aired, it didn't even include them.

Gavin and his family originally told police that everything happened BEFORE the martin documentary aired, but suddenly changed their stories when they realized that Michael wasn't even at neverland during that time period. Then all of a sudden everything happened AFTER the video aired. This isn't the first time this family has accused someone of sexual abuse. They filed false claims against jcpenny where the mother claimed she was sexually assaulted and fondled. The kids all backed up her story and was paid a huge settlement. They also filed sexual abuse claims against the father claiming he kidnapped the family and molested the daughter.

I honestly don't know how these people sleep at night

Book Review: We're Vegetables!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have read several books in regards to Michael Jackson...including this one. I appreciate all of the reviews posted. It gives each of us insight into one another's minds and each of our insights is like a puzzle piece...each one adding a new dimension or idea, shining our own light on what we personally are feeling/thinking and it creates a beautiful picture when put together. Let's not lose that. This book was successful in proving to me that we are "vegetables" when it comes to the media. Some of us seem to be robots and drones. You don't have to be lost. Look inside your heart. What do you feel? Anytime that I even had one ounce of an inkling that Michael Jackson may be guilty, my heart told me otherwise. I didn't need to read this book to realize that but it did help me realize other things. We have to STOP buying in to this and letting others, especially those that do not have good intentions, tell us what to think and feel. Stop watching/buying all of this garbage...It makes our world so ugly. We are better than this as a people, as a world. By the way, why are we putting the wrong sort of people on pedestals, such as celebrities? The ones we should be looking up to and appreciating are those that are teaching our children (Teachers), and keeping our streets and homes safe (Policemen/Firemen), to name a few. Yes, I realize that not all teachers, policemen and firemen are good but the majority of them are. All the wrong sort of people make tons of money and then spend it on things that don't matter. Yes, I realize that there are celebrities out there that seek to do good and are charitable but unfortunately the one celebrity that was the best example of that (and is in Guiness for supporting the most charities) is now gone. Also, I was hoping someone could answer this question for me...Why are we the way we are with celebrities? Why...if we truly loved Michael and were his fans did we not leave him alone so that he could try to live a semi-normal life? As this book states, he just wanted to fit in and be seen as more than just a celebrity. He just wanted to be loved and accepted and to be able to be himself. Why did we chase and maul him to the point that his safety and that of his children and those around him were in danger? Couldn't we have loved him enough to give him at least that especially since so many others were taking so much away from him? I read that he was in a department store once and people were pushing and knocking each other down and breaking glass to get to him. What's that about? It is pure insanity. It's fine to want to get a glimpse of him and give him a handshake or a quick hug or even get an autograph but can we not be civil? Why do we lose our minds over celebrities? When we buy into all of this and the magazines, it just continues to fuel the media/paparazzi. If you dislike the media/paparazzi as I do then stop believing in and buying this junk. It is such a waste. We as a society are so focused on all the wrong things...and look at where we are because of it. Look at our poor/hungry/homeless. Look at our senior citizens, our children. Look at our national deficit, our earth. NOW is the time. Look at the man in the mirror and stop being a vegetable, get out and make a change!!!! P.S. I did like this book and appreciate Aphrodite Jones for her bravery in coming forward to write it. I will be donating a copy of this book to my local library and keeping one for myself. Thanks to a previous reviewer for the idea. Also, I realize that I got on a soap-box and went on a rampage and that my review was not just about this book but I hope it helps just the same ...in more ways than one.

Book Review: I can't believe I fell into the tabloid trap!
Summary: 5 Stars

Let me start by saying I was one of the boneheads, who though Michael Jackson was guilty as sin and that a sleek lawyer got him off.
It goes without saying that I had not bothered to read anything on Michael Jackson through the years, being only familiar with 10 or so of his old songs. I live in Denmark and MJ was not tabloid news all the time, as I suspect was/is the case in the US.
So the day MJ died - the TV/radio and newspapers were filled with the sad news and, of course, a lot about his rise to fame - his charity works - the lot.
I was completely mystified - Michael Jackson visiting children's wards in hospitals, orphanages around the globe, when on tour, expressing an almost unheard of love and caring for children - and most certainly disadvantaged children. Not exactly a blue-copy of a child-molester.
I began to read all I could get my hands on about Michael Jackson - and I cannot believe the way the tabloid press have distorted facts, offering one-sided malicious snippets. And how I took it in hook-line and sinker.
Although I had a strongfeeling of being very wrong about my off-hand judgement about MJ before buying this book - after reading it- I know I was WRONG.
First of all the author is a woman, who also had Michael Jackson pinned down as guilty, and had a genuine change of heart.
She takes you into the court-room and presents you with a - in my oppinion - well-written and almost suspensefilled horror of a case.
Many before me have given a very good review of what the book is about - so I will abstain from that.
I will say, that if you are, like I were, influenced by the tabloid press, you will feel disgusted by the way the facts were left out or turned around.
If the book were fiction - you would put it down and think the plot was so outrageous and utterly impossible to believe, that reading it was almost a vaste of time! Star Wars seems more possible.
A family, who literally was smothered in love help and financial aid, dragged their benefactor to court and lied through their teeth with the most outrageous tales.
That it ever ended up in court is ridiculous!!!
The evil ungratefulness (if there is such a word) that all of them displayed makes you furious - along with their blatant lies.
The most infuriating is that the press never reported this, as I understand it.
Filled to the brim with evidence of lies and evil schemes and ungrateful attitudes, you are left with a feeling that the Arvizoes honestly believed that the world owed them an easy living, without question and without thanks being offered.
A small thing is the mother's complaint that they felt "trapped and bored" during a stay in a 5-star-hotel's luxury suite, spent in Michael Jackson's company!!! I can't imagine how many millions of fans through-out the world would peel off 30 years of their life-expectancy to be "trapped" in a hotel-room with Michael Jackson.
If you have an iota of decency in your body you will have a hard time believing the Arvizoes are for real. If indecency and ungratefulness and evil intentions were criminal offenses - the entire family would be on death row right now!
Read it - and get the facts straight.
And when you are done pick up "redemption" by Geraldine Hughes about the Chandler Plot.
Michael Jackson is moonwalking in Heaven, but for his family and children especially his legacy should be put right up on the pedestal, where it belongs.

Book Review: The King Was Indeed Innocent
Summary: 5 Stars

Conspiracy is a fast-paced, intriguing recount of what I had only barely filtered through my consciousness during the 2005 child molestation trial of Michael Jackson. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down. I read it in less than 24 hours.

The more I read, the more ashamed I began to feel.

I, like thousands and thousands of others I am sure, had fallen back on the old 'where there's smoke' adage, and promptly dismissed it as he had probably gotten off because he had the 'best defense money could buy' ala OJ. I never thought much about it at all, just listened to what the mainstream media was spewing nightly.

Talk ABOUT a mistake.

It soon becomes clearer than glass that Michael Jackson was just a child at heart, with a child's innocence and delight combined with an immense musical talent. His generous acts and unselfish actions are to be applauded, and emulated. Unfortunately, they also put a huge 'SCREW ME' sign on his back that countless people saw and took advantage of on a level of greed and avarice that should be considered legendary.

Conspiracy soon begins to first whisper and then shout from the written page that Michael Jackson was a victim of blackmail and extortion; no two ways about it; hands down; wake the kids and call the neighbors because Ladies and Gentlemen, the Show is about to begin!

I just have two words to say about the trial: Not Guilty. But I'm gonna say it 12 times. Twelve counts, twelve verdicts, twelve Not Guiltys.

The public doesn't have a clue as to what actually happened at the trial. Oh, they can tell you all about the day MJ showed up in pajama bottoms, or when one or other of The Brothers or Sisters turned up for the daily show.

But they can't tell you Tom Sneddon wasted millions of dollars in 1993 and 2005 and never turned up one single piece of evidence that wasn't refuted on the witness stand; more often than not the State's witnesses blew up in the Prosecution's collective faces.

They can't tell you how the MediaBeast Beings sacrificed the truth of what happened in that courtroom for ratings. They had tried, judged, and convicted Michael Jackson and then ignored time after time after time the facts as they were established.

His talk of love and acceptance, of how we should all, as Human Beings, try just a little harder to achieve, and his acts of generosity and kindness brought him only humiliation and pain as the greedy and No-Soul Beings that leeched onto him tried to bleed him dry. His whole world was destroyed because of these Beings, and the media was the most insatiable beast of them all - the MediaBeast Beings were in such an enormous feeding frenzy as few living souls have ever seen. And they fed off Michael Jackson.

I am saddened by what I learned, saddened that such a gentle, kind, caring man was ruthlessly ruined financially through lies and character assassination of such immense proportions it makes me ill.

Read this book and you will learn things that will change forever how you look back on Michael Jackson's life and talent. Read this book. That's all I gotta say about that.

That and the twelve Not Guiltys of course.

My hat is off to Aphrodite Jones for having the guts to reveal this nastiness.

Well done, well done I say!

Book Review: Incredible Book!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is a must read! Finally the truth, not misconceptions! Kudos to Aphrodite Jones for her investigative skills and for having the courage to admit she had been wrong in her initial opinion of MJ. I'm trying to understand one thing - why has Amazon deleted the Product Description and the Editorial Review from this book? It was there all summer, now it's gone. I chose to purchase this book based on the product description (and reviews). I feel it should still be listed, and since I had printed it out over the summer, I am going to type it here verbatum:

From the PUBLISHER: "He was the pop icon the media loved to hate. Tremendously wealthy, inarguably eccentric, and one of the most famous people in the world, Michael Jackson was the unenviable target of constant public humiliation. The media poked fun at his skin, his features, his sexuality, and his lifestyle.

Here, seasoned crime reporter Aphrodite Jones condemns the media for perpetuating hateful rumors and innuendoes, recounting just the sordid details, and reporting only the most despicable accusations and grisly charges made against Michael Jackson during his criminal trial. They had built a highly profitable industry around the superstar's "freaky life" and banked on his conviction. And, it turns out, they got it all wrong.

In their efforts to make money and win ratings, the media missed the truth. It wasn't until after the "Not Guilty" verdict that Jones had the insight and courage to admit her own unintentional role in the frenzy surrounding the shocking testimony, high drama, and countless celebrities in Michael Jackson's high-profile criminal trial. Here, she makes amends with what is not only a truthful, well-documented chronicle of the entire trial but a powerful indictment against the media for conspiring to distort, dehumanize, and destroy Michael Jackson. Jones argues convincingly that the case against Jackson amounted to nothing more than a media-made, tax-paid scandal, and she makes an impassioned call to action for the public-at-large to think critically, question the integrity, and demand the truth in "the news"."

"To anyone who wants to learn what happened in the Michael Jackson courtroom, this is the book to read." - Thomas A. Mesereau, Jr., Michael Jackson's lead counsel.

"The media anticipated the legal equivalent of a lynching...To spike ratings, they covered the man, not the evidence...The end result was the further blackballing of Michael Jackson's reputation." - Peter Shaplen, official media pool coordinator, the Michael Jackson trial.

"Aphrodite Jones provides the detail that we never got in the news media and vividly captures the phenomenon that was the Michael Jackson trial. It's a deeply researched, intense account that keeps you anxiously awaiting the next scene." - Roy Black, criminal defense attorney and NBC legal commentator.
