Book Review: A Great Love Story
Summary: 5 Stars
Keep the Kleenex handy when you read this book. Theresa Orsburn, a divorced single mother and newspaper columnist, discovers a letter in a bottle on the beach while vacationing in Cape Cod. Theresa shows it to her editor/friend. The incredible love that is evident in the letter moves them so much that they decide to print it in Theresa's column. Through that, she discovers two other letters from Garrett to Catherine.
Jaded from her divorce, Theresa is very curious about a man who could feel such deep love and write such letters, so she sets out to discover more about him.
She finds Garrett, who is a dive instructor in North Carolina, and meets him in person. They make in instant connection and fall in love. The story of their time together made me wish I could find something like that at least once in my life. I wish the ending had been different, but it makes a point that is important to both Garrett and Theresa.
I'll read more Nicholas Sparks books in the future.

Nicholas Sparks out does himself which this romance about falling in love again. When Theresa Osborne, a Boston Times parenting columnist is on a much-needed vacation, she comes across a message in a bottle that had washed up onto the sand. This love letter, she finds out later, was written by a man who had lost his wife and used writing as an escape for his hurt. After publishing the first letter in her column, two more letters arrive at her office. Intrigued, Theresa goes down to North Carolina to visit Garrett Blake, a diving instructor, little does she know that this trip would change the course of the rest of her life. Theresa was ready to move on from her previous marriage, that left her with the hurt of her husband's affair. Unfortunately, she finds Garrett is not moving on as quickly, the story ends with a twist that was unexpected and not understandable. This book leaves the reader feeling like anything is possible, even loving again.Book Review: Completely heart-gripping!

This book was so totally heart-gripping that i just couldn't put it down once i started it. nicholas sparks has done a wonderful job in trying to create the sensitive side to every man or woman's character. for those of you who placed too much importance on the so-called "literary aspect" of the book, granted there may have been 'literary' incorrections but what is so unique about this book is the fact that one usually won't even notice them. a good book is not one that has the perfect grammar, perfect sentences, etc. a good book is one where the words and images just tear at your heart-strings or rather get you too deeply involved in the story. i recommend this book to all those people out there who are too cynical to believe love actually exists...(i admit, i really did not believe in love completely upto this point). i look at life differently and i'm glad that i read this book at this age rather than later on in life.Book Review: The book that made me give romance novels a chance.

I have never really given romance novels a chance. I thought they were just the same old basic boring plots. My sister read the book first and begged me to read it. I always read suspense and thriller novels so, this took a lot of pursuading. Eventually, I gave in and 24 hours later the book was finished. It is the best book I have ever read. I can't believe a male author can write with such romantic feeling. He has a new fan forever. People who tend to put the book down and say it was unreal have obviously never had true love before. I feel really sorry for those people. The love in the book reminded me of the love I feel. I still think about the characters as if they are a part of my life. The ending made me feel as if I had lost a special friend. I will give romance novels a chance now. The movie was awful. Don't watch it unless you want to see a whole different story line. If you have not read the book or seen the movie, I recommened seeing the movie first. It will help you when reading the book. I did not like the movie. I thought it moved to fast. Their were parts in there that just not needed.Plus the movie was a little slow. I LOVED THIS BOOK. It was so beautifully written. You could actually feel the love between Theresa and Garrett. THe book they see each other so many times. The movie, they only see each other about 3 times. The movie, her reason for going back to Wilmington, was to do reasearach on him, in the book, it was because she was intriguied by his feelings for his late wife. The end of the movie, was very diffent from the book. I will not give away what happens, but the movie did make me shed a tear. Book however I cried for about ten minutes. I highly highly recommened this book who is a hopeless romantic. Make sure that when you get to Chapter 13, you bring tissue, cause you will cry.
