Book Review: A dramatic view of the hospital!

Sidney Kinglsey's medical drama garnered the Pulitzer Prize in 1934. A first of its kind, the play was all about moral issues, conflict, and self- interest, and a view of life in a city hospital.
This play is similar to Kingley's Detective Story, which had the same theme (morality and conflict of interest) and which gaves us a look into the lives of police detectives. In Men in White, the setting is St. George Hospital in NY.
Men in White has numerous characters, but focuses around an outstanding and esteemed physician, Dr. Hochberg. He is all about interns learning their trade first rather than jumping into private practices too early. It is an honor for any intern who gets to work with Hochberg.
George Ferguson, a 28 year old intern is engaged to Laura, who is the daughter of a wealthy real estate businessman, Mr. Hudson. With the demands of internwork, he doesn't have time to get away with her for enjoyable evenings and in three months is set to be married.
This is a fast moving lengthy drama, with no long monologues. It is considered as one of the Best American plays in John Gassner's Series. ....Rizzo
