Book Review: Must-have for a Mega Man fan

If you spent countless hours toiling to get to Wily's Castle, and then countless more within its walls as I did when growing up, this book is a must-have. The book is loaded with concept designs and gorgeous renderings of all the robot masters and enemies that populate their levels. This only covers the classic Mega Man series, but for retro gamers and nostalgia buffs, I feel like the content is just what I would want out of such a book.
If Amazon allowed it, I'd give it 4.5 (as it stands, I gave it a 5) only because the blurbs are frequently all too brief and there isn't much background text. I realize that it's an art book, but there are times when I come across a beautiful picture that begs for a little backstory, and it seems a bit wanting. At other points, I came across a personal favorite robot master's design, and I wanted to know about the process or some background information.
These minor drawbacks aside, I can fully recommend the book. After robust images covering Mega Man 1-8, and a few other associated games, you get galleries bursting with content, model sheets, and promotional artwork. There's plenty to look at, and even after you've been through the book a couple of times, you can amuse yourself by watching the Mega Buster move from right arm to left in various iterations of Mega Man.
If you're a Mega Man fan, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
