Book Review: Very cute!!

My daughter loves this show, so I got her this a couple other Max and Ruby things for Christmas and we are pretty happy with this one. The story is simple and there are lots and lots of stickers. They do come off pretty easily. I think someone else had reviewed that an adult couldn't remove them but I've had no problem at all with it and my daughter handles it ok most of the time and she is very young, which is good because she likes to move them over and over again. I've considered buying her a second one to put up for when she's a little older and can do this all herself. So I would, and may in fact, buy this again.Book Review: Short and sweet, but stickers aren't a hit.

My 3 and 5 year old love the short story that they can both 'read', (it's only a few sentences per two pages). But, the 'reusable' stickers were not high on my list. They don't remove easily, and for my sons little fingers, were simply something to sob about after they get torn in two.
I ended up removing the sticker pages from the middle, putting the stickers, (which weren't really sized correctly for the pages they were to be applied to), on myself and leaving them as permanent page illustrations.

I purchased this for my 5yr old son who loves Max & Ruby. I did not read it first, but I wish I had. He loved putting the stickers on the pages, but was disappointed that the stories were not the same as his books. For example, the birthday cake Ruby makes for Grandma is not the same as in the story(strawberry instead of raspberry). Also, there is too many stickers! He could not fit them all on the clean up page, and they ended up all over the page. I look forward to more Max & Ruby, but I will make sure next time I read any future sticker books first.Book Review: Its ok...but not for the long term

The stickers are not really resuable at least for the younger set, which is who follows this show to begin with. I prob wouldn't have purchased if I realized. Its in the 'pile' of books that she doesn't go to often...oh well.
