Book Reviews of the Mass Effect: RevelationCustomer Review: This book redefines "Terrible" Summary: 1 Stars
I could only read the first forty-six pages before I came to this conclusion. Drew Karpyshyn seems to be of the mindset that having absolutely no clue about modern-day combat tactics (i.e. how soldiers with guns actually use them.), using the utmost in cliche' dialogue and generic one-liners, can make someone worthy of being dubbed a "New York Times bestselling author." I love the game Mass Effect, and the universe around it, but reading this book does the same for me as banging my head against a wall, over and over again. This is simply another sad reminder of how mainstream media (i.e. gaming industry) injects un-godly amounts of money into any form of media that will promote its origional product, regardless of whether or not it figuratively slaps the traditional value of that medium in the face. I literally shiver at the thought of having to read the next two books in order to appreciate the second game in the series.
