Book Review: Well Written and Suprisingly Touching
Summary: 5 Stars
It is pretty clear by this point that Drew Karphyshyn is in fact a very talented writer.
What I found I enjoyed most about this book was the character development. I began the book expecting sci-fi action (and I got that) but I was suprised by the extent to which I cared about the characters and their paths. I was especially touched by the portrayal of the girl at the center of the story, Gillian.
I would recommend most definitely.

I LOVE MASS EFFECT!
Read the first book then played the game 3 times.
The second book doesn't mention much about the game but there are the reasons. Take in account that there are 2 endings for mass effect so the book can't go into details. I can't wait to see how this book ties into ME2. I can see some awesome tie ins. ME fans get it NOW. Those thinking about it ME read 1st book then buy the game, its great then read the 2nd book.

If you've read the original book or if you've played the game it adds to the world, but even if you have not played the game you will enjoy the book. My husband dosen't play but he liked both books.

I think this novel stands up pretty well on its own, but if you're a fan of the Mass Effect video game(s) you'll be hooked by the setting and characters featured within. This is a must read if you are a fan of this game or a fan of Sci-Fi. It provides insight into part of the Quarian race and gives you a very good story. It does not dirrectly link to Mass Effect but it has the same feel as the game. Five stars.*****
