Another lovely book by Sempe. Simple illustrations that are very evocative and tell the story beautifully.
And what a beautiful story. Martin Pebble blushes often, often for no reason at all. He meets Roddy Rackett, another little boy with a difference - he sneezes frequently for no reason at all. They become best friends but lose touch with each other when the Rackett family moves. Years later, as young adults, they meet again and their friendship picks up right where it left off.
Heartwarming, touching, and surprisingly moving. I don't know if children would like this book or not, but adults will love it!
