Martian Bachelor, as his name suggests, is clearly missing the point, firstly about Marriage & How To Avoid It, and secondly about women and men.

Yes, the book is short... I do not need to ramble to make my point.

This book is aimed at both men AND women... from a fair standpoint.

Be sure, this book is about avoiding marriage. It gives the reasons for the human desire to get married, from childhood to adulthood, and, in that aspect will help humans avoid marriage. Added to this, it later explains how to avoid marriage... in a number of ways.

And, no, I do not promote cohabitation... not even in the name of children. Children need love and consistency, that is all. Therefore you do not need to be married or even live together in order to be good parents.

I am a believer in self love. MB, to quote a later critique of his "does not have a spiritual bone in his body". I rest my case.

I would rather not have had to write this, but MB's points about Marriage & How To Avoid It are way off the mark. I hope the other reviews are more helpful.

A well thought out and amusing look at an institution that is (supposedly) one of the building blocks of modern society. This book is a light-hearted look at our intended destination.

Buried in a shallow grave under the humourous text are deeply dark undertones which seem to make an awful lot of sense. Starting with Pre-nuptial, we are taken on a rollercoaster ride through such topics as Popsongs, Toys, Next Seven Lovers, Paranoia, Me, Me, Me, Love Rules, and Celebration.

ItÂ?s unique style will touch you whether you are a true romantic or a hopeless case, and will leave you with a smile on your face (or at least a worried grin).
