I've just received this book in the mail today, I am not only a fan of Ms. Coppola's films but her photo books as well. This completes my collection so far as I have her previous three (The Virgin Suicides, Lost In Translation and SC 2003) books plus this one. I have been hesitant to peek inside as I'm waiting for the film to be released but it's presented beautifully. The photographs are complemented by a narration from pages of the film script which adds a personal touch from the director to the reader.
This book is a great buy to any fan of Ms. Coppola's as well as any film or photography book collector. You will see in these pages that truly no detail was spared.

I purchased this beautiful book before seeing the movie. I loved this movie -- it is visually breathtaking. The book is a wonderful addition to your collection. I am an avid costume buff, and adore Marie Antoniette, so had to have it for my personal library. The soft colors are soothing, easy on the eye and delicious! See the costumes, the scenery, the palace, the food, the gold leaf... a quote from the movie sums it up nicely, "This is Versailles!" If you purchase this book you will not be disappointed. Completely beautiful! I loved this movie, and everytime I watch it I keep hoping there will be a directors cut 2 disc dvd or something, but nothing has shown up, then I found out about this book. Its little clips of the script and then pictures of the Palace of Versailles, or the characters. Sophia Copolla made a visual masterpiece in my opinion, and the book takes you through the movie easily. If you were a fan of this movie, you need this companion book.Book Review: Magnifique
