Book Reviews of Marie Antoinette: The JourneyBook Review: Fabulous, Historical Summary: 5 Stars
I love this book. The movie "Marie Antionette" follows this book almost to the letter. Well written amd researched. I originally checked this book from the library and I just had to purchase it after my initial reading. Unfortunately I left this copy on a plane but I will purchase it again.
Book Review: Literate and exciting Summary: 5 Stars
Antonia Fraser has written a wonderful non-fiction account of Marie Antoinette and the Court of Versailles that makes you feel you are living at the time. A detailed yet understandable explanation of the political and royal intrigues of the time, both in France and in Europe, that lead to the Revolution.
Book Review: Discovering the journey Summary: 5 Stars
I have to say it's what I expected,It's insightful and well written. Fraser takes you through daily life at court. And at times shows how hard it really was to be the future queen of France. So many rules....
Book Review: One of the best historical novels ever! Summary: 5 Stars
Captivating from beginning to end. Reads like a novel. Marie Antoinette is truly a remarkable and even inspiring woman. This book is such an interesting read -- its difficult to put down!
Book Review: best biography I have read Summary: 5 Stars
wonderful work of history, takes the reader beyond the myth and caricature of Marie Antoinette, to reveal a complex, very interesting queen. Not a dull moment in the book.
