Book Review: A pleasant surprise

This biography was a pleasant surprise! I thought it would be tedious to read and even harder to sift through the writer's biases. However, Antonia Frasier provided a wonderful insight into not only what Marie Antoinette's world was like, but also her strengths and weaknesses as a queen, mother, and woman. Frasier lent an air of sympathy which kept me enraptured until the very end of the book - not an easy task in a biography!Book Review: A masterpiece

You don't have to like biographies to like this book. It is fun of interesting facts and tid bits that are just fascinating. When I bought this book, all I had to do was read the first page and I was caught in the turbulant waters of life of Marie Antoinette. It is a book that ever history class should have to read, because it gives the read a true feeling for what the time period and sitation was really like.Book Review: Excellent read..wish ending was better for Marie!

I was so sad to have this book end! As you read the book, you learn to appreciate Marie for the person she was. There were so many facts about her life that I did not know. As you turn the pages, you share her good times and bad times. I wish the ending was better...but she was courageous to the end. Sorry that she had such a rotten ending. this is such a great story. So much information but it's told like a story. It isn't difficult to read, but i feel i am bettering my vocabulary by the minute.
this product arrived on time and in WAY better condition than i thought it was. And the art work in the book and on the front cover are stunning.
A MUST READ!
