I have to say, I was surprised: this book didn't suck. 95% of so-called "Christian comics" stink like week old trash. This was creative while faithful to the story of the gospels.
Two things to be aware of. 1) Like most American renditions of the gospel story, this features all white characters. 2) The story harmonizes all four gospels which I think is theologically problematic when kids get older, but not so much when young. Not a major problem, just something to be aware of.
I'm buying this for my 13 yr old nephew.
