I was not a wearer of make-up nor was I interested in make-up books until I picked up Making Faces at a friends house. I immediately bought the book and haven't let it out of my sight since. It is well written and beautifully photographed. Kevyn Aucoin has also made it easy for the beginner to use this book and make them very capable. I bought this book in anticipation of having a portrait taken for Christmas. I'm pretty good with the pots and brushes, but wanted some new inspiration. Now, my only problem is deciding "who" to be for the picture (I'm leaning toward The Sophisticate). Whichever route I take, with Kevyn's help, I know I'm going to look faaabulous, dahling - and my love will love it!Book Review: The only make-up book you will need!

I have been involved in the Beauty world for a good portion of my life, and I must say that I wish I had this book all along. I honestly think it is the only make-up book that I will ever need. Kevyn is an amazing artist, and his true personality shines through on every page. I recieved this book for christmas and have not been able to put it down since then. The instruction and photographs are amazing. Kevyn was able to work miracles with the makeovers, I could not believe the before and afters were the same people. Much better than the Cindy Crawford workbook, with much more details. Buy this book!
