Book Review: Kevin outdid himself!

I only have one word for this book. Wow! I have been in tuned to makeup and fashion for I don't know how long, and this book is definately the cream of the crop! Not only were the tips new and interesting to me, but the graphics helped me in creating the perfect looks that I was aiming for. I can honestly say that I thought I knew every trick in the book. I'm willing to admit that I was wrong. This book is so straight forward that it allows anyone and I mean anyone to understand its context. Way to go Kevin! Keep those fab books of yours comin'!-Jacks
Book Review: Fabulous!!! Absolutely Fabulous!!!

I searched and searched for a book to help me learn up-to- date and fresh makeup application techniques and definitely found it in this book. It includes multitudes of illustrations and some fabulous photos.After my first attempt at reproducing one of the looks in the book, which he calls the Natural, I was amazed. My husband even commented that I looked great, and I hadn't even told him I had done anything different!
What a wonderful resource for learning to look your best, no matter what style you are looking for. So much fun. Bravo!
Book Review: The MUST HAVE book for every Makeup Artist!

I really like the illustrations presented in the book. I went through several other makeup books by others which I will not name and Kevin's book came out on top. He presented different techniques, and showed how to do them. The other makeup books did not show this. The photographs were useful and great at the same time. I really liked his style and his belief system which is similar to mine. "That our unique characteristics are what makes us beautiful." GREAT JOB KEVIN!! My daughter taped Kevyn on the Oprah Winfrey show and we saw his wonderful make up skills. We purchased the book after waiting over one month for it to arrive. It was the most expenxive book I've ever purchased - $59 Australian. However the beautifully presented pages, filled with useful tips and beautiful glossy photos make it a great buy. It is great for just browsing and enjoying, or for reading and following instructions. Kevyn comes across as a wonderfully warm person, keen to share his skills and knowledge with everyone.Book Review: Artistic Wonder

I am only fifteen years old, but I have a great love for art and also makeup. A friend of mine showed me this book, and I immediately fell in love. I love this book for its artistry and boldness and straightforward knowledge instead of practical, daily tips that can be found in any magazine. Kevyn shows the face as a canvas that can be molded with shading and a varied palette rather than merely a piece of human flesh with flaws and imperfections. Kevyn Aucoin is a great artist, and I appreciate his work very much.
