This is one of those books you buy on Amazon because of the high recommendations and appreciate for the amazing illustrations as well as the information within. The makeover transformations of celebrities is astounding, especially when you realize that it doesn't really matter how you look without makeup, but that you can look fabulous with the right application. Kevyn Aucion uses color and style, rather than specific cosmetics, to create whatever personna he sees for each woman. A great "picture book" and an excellent reference!Book Review: wonderful

i'm a 15 year old girl and before i got this book, makeup wasn't a priority. Not that i was a feminist it's just that i was a complete idiot when it came to make up, but after reading this book,i can't wait to do my makeup in the morning . i saw that it was so easy and that you didn't need an unbelievable amount of makeup to pull of a look, less is more. i do my friends make up before dances, and i am i make up junkie (CVS and Target baby). all i have to say is thank you soooooo much Kevyn!! this book is a must for every female.Book Review: Very Helpful

This book was very helpful to me as a photographer who works primarily with female models. I've recreated the techniques described in this book on my models with spectacular results. As someone who can not always work with a make-up artist, I've found this book to be extremely helpful in my work with female models.
The step-by-step instructions are easy to follow. This book is a great make-up guide for beginners, providing looks that are easy to copy as well as inspiration for any artist's own make-up creations.

This book CAPTURES talent, vision, and ability to create such mind blowing beauty. It also shows a number of his works, creations, and clients the people he has worked with over the course of his career. I have all of the books related to him and recommend them all to anyone who is in advertising, fashion, beauty, and commercial art industry. His story is one of struggles and accomplishments. It is tragic that we lost this brilliant, intelligent, inspiring individual, it is evident that he was just getting started.Book Review: Fascinating, book and author

Kevyn Aucoin's book is so very interesting, just to see what can be done. Then if you want, how to do it. His personal attitude about makeup and life is so right-on. (to coin an old, but apt phrase) I love the way he invites people to spurn the fashion nazi's, and encourage people to be and look how they want. He ranges from the sweet natural look to the avant-gard all with instructions and photos. Many including a before and after, and diagrams. Great ideas to try. Fun just to even look through and marvel at.
