Book Review: Mesmerizing for kids

My kids (ages 7 and 5) love the Magic Tree House books. This audio CD was a livesaver on a long roadtrip. I had to keep looking back because I thought my kids had fallen asleep since they were so quiet. We had an amazingly peaceful car ride since they were so intent on listening to the stories. After the car trip, they kids have routinely asked to listen to the stories over again many times never seeming to be bored of them. A great investment!Book Review: Lifesaver on Long Road Trips

I bought these for my almost four-year-old for a nine-hour road trip. Not once did I hear "When will we be there"! She couldn't stop listening. We have also checked out the books from the library and she loves having us read them to her, although there aren't many pictures. The CD can keep her occupied for hours even without the books. I wouldn't have thought that a child so young could enjoy these so much, but clearly I was wrong.Book Review: My 4 yr old LOVES these!!!!!!

Granted my 4 yr old is a book-aholic, but these are by far her favorite! She will listen to these in one sitting if I will let her. We checked them out at the library and inside of 2 weeks, we listened to them 5 times. Needless to say, I decided she needed her own set, so she will be getting this and books 9-16 for christmas. Oh and by the way, this is a great price. They sell for $33 at borders in my neck of the woods.Book Review: We could hardly wait to get in the car to listen!

My 6 year old grandson and I both enjoyed listening to the different adventures that Jack and Annie had as they flew from story to story. My grandson's favorite was the tale of the Mummy. My favorite thing was seeing his enjoyment and having him not grumble at having to run errands with me. The stories also expanded his vocabulary as each new or difficult word was explained by Jack to Annie in a way a child could understand.Book Review: The Magic Tree House: Books 1-8

My daughter (who is 6 years old) loves the story and the characters. We bought the CD first then the books which makes it easy for her to go from 32 pages or so picture book to 80-120 pages charter book. The money spent is absolutely worth it. She develops interest in reading. She now can read > 100 pages book and reads every day. We purchased all 36 magic tree house books.
