Book Review: An Enthralling Adventure!
Summary: 4 Stars
Lisa Shearin's "Magic Lost, Trouble Found" was an exemplary piece, especially considering it was her first! My rubric for "well written" would constitute a work that is capable of changing ones mood and invoking emotional responses - and that is precisely what I felt when reading this book! My only issue with this story was the ending. I would agree the writing is awesome and in fact, so much so, that towards the end I felt a lot of hatred for the primary villain. The ending seemed too nice for my taste but then again, the general style of writing seemed to lack violence and I suspect the writer intended it this way.
Regardless, I honestly believe the author did a fantastic job of spinning a whimsical tale chocked full of adventure which turned out rather beguiling! If you want a great fantasy story I highly suggest purchasing the book. As with all great books, I quickly became sucked into the world painted by the author and found myself loving every minute of it! Although a bit costly, I would definitely consider this read worth every penny.
