It is amazing how much my computer can do that Apple never told me! David Pogue gives new presents with each chapter. Well worth the price. I also have Mac OS X for Dummies - each has its own attributes, e.g. Dummies has more about using the terminal; MM has more tricks and references to free programs. Switching back to Apple, after 20 years of pc, I had a lot of catching up to do. David Pogue and crew make the OS X Tiger work for me. I'm not a techie; just someone who likes to explore and use computers. With the Missing Manual, I am up to speed. The language is clear, and I can follow topically as I wish.
