I picked up this book and have not been able to put it down! I can't believe the amount of tips, tricks and how to's that I learned. The book is an easy read, all information is well explained (even the tough "technical" stuff) and so informative.
I am a very advanced computer user and know a lot about the Mac - but this book, with all of the information it has, has taken my knowledge to a whole other level.
Highly recommend this book - for both new Leopard owners and veteran Mac OSX users.

I just purchased an IMac from my friend who decided to get the laptop and having used a Mac from way back when thought - what's there to learn? But the new operating system and applications/tools take a bit of getting used to..so easy. But there is always something you can't remember how to configure and this book makes it very easy to find 'how to' and move on. More time to enjoy your new IMac! Highly recommend for anyone just moving back to the 'white side', or an experienced user to quickly go to the answer.Book Review: OS X super book!

I have been with Mac for a number of years.... read other OS books.... but none of them cover the MAC quite like this book does. Well worth every penny you spend getting it. Appropriately named "the Missing Manual" because I learned more about OS X in just the first few pages I read. The Mac "help" menu is sometimes difficult to understand.... this book is simple and easy to learn your system. Love all the little quips. Great author!! If you need help.... this is it! This manual is clearly written and organized. Everything you should know about Mac OS X Leopard is here. But don't think you'll drown into useless details: sections for advanced aficionados are kind of separated while being embedded in the text (this may sound weird, but I'm sure you understood). Lots of humor also.
You've got yourself a Mac: unless you work at Apple and have developed this OS yourself, you will need this book. Be it only for the jokes.
Definitely worths the investment.

I got my Mac about 18mos. ago and it took me awhile to get used to it.I learn better with a book than reading help online, so i thought it best to seek out help from a book, when i upgraded to leopard. I'm sure glad i did. I've learned things that i never knew my mac could do.
The book was and is so helpful that I've also purchased the missing manual for photoshop element 6 for mac, but that's a whole different review.
great book, for Mac users who are experienced or not experienced.
